Face it: any financial transaction media are fundamentally a critical component of national sovereignty. The DeFi dream is nothing more than that. A dream. A costly dream that will cost pursuers dearly as soon as the glacier of the regulatory edifice moves.
The far more concerning bit from my standpoint, is that CBDC's seem to be the excuse the financial system has been waiting on to clamp down on cash.
