For anyone that tried this and failed miserably:

* Most feeds out there cannot load as they are because of CORS.*

In my github page: https://github.com/derek-zhou/airss I listed several options. Please choose yourself; I can't choose for you.

So does this automatically fetch every feed URL at intervals in the background as long as you have the browser open?

Pretty simple solution for getting updates if so. No need to overcomplicate it with a dedicated server.

Right now there is a one hour idle timeout, then it will shutdown and close the indexedDB. The reason is it is quite possible to have too many tabs lying around and I am not comfortable to have many tabs writing the same indexedDB.

Periodic polling will not work on mobile anyhow. It is better just to refresh the tab by hand.

As a German, this name evokes feelings of nostalgia and tense anticipation
Please enlighten me. I am at a disadvantage here.
SS. Paramilitary units of Nazi Germany known for their brutality, oppression, and crimes against humanity. AirSS is of course play on RSS, but I also could immediately see how it can be read as Air SS.
Oh my.
Yeah, sorry. I understand it is your project. Kudos for making it and showing it to the outside world! Tiny RSS needs some competition. One of the reasons you publish the open source project is so that people can find bugs. Sometimes bugs are going to be in the name. Keep hacking!
May I suggest

- AirStream (may be overloaded)

- AirFeed

I changed the capitalization so the name is Airss now. Hopefully this should reduce the negative association.
That kind of sounds like the british "arse" in my mind. Better than the SS one though. I am not trying to be negative, my intention is to provide feedback.
I think that's ok; it is just a mild curse word that may even make a funny conversation:

"what are you doing?"

"I am covering my Airss for the morning" (go through my news feed)

Exactly my thought - the first association that popped into my mind was that it is some kid of airborne SS unit. I am not a German but I am of eastern European origin and I would say having capitalized SS in your name would not be good idea here.
Not even German and I too imeaditely thought that the name was a bad idea.
This looks interesting; I'm interested in the upcoming updates. I do hope that it will be user-friend for people that are not coming from technical backgrounds.
Care to elaborate more? I thought it is user friendly enough.
