Ach, I was hoping this would talk about the Maltese language :( I've spent some months on the island and it's quite fun to try to say words like Ħaż-Żabbar and Xrobb l-Għaġin!
Same here! It's a very interesting language in that it evolved from Arabic with no interaction, so nor relationship to Classical or Modern Arabic (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maltese_language).
Here's a nice phrase that I like:
kemm hi kbira id dinja ("how vast the world is")
FTA: “What we lack in our vocabulary is a word for dogs that mostly look the same, doing the same kind of a job.”
Is that not what "breed" is? Alternately, my brain jumps to the word "phenotype" for some reason..
..Google supplies:
The term "phenotype" refers to the observable physical properties of an organism; these include the organism's appearance, development, and behavior.

[ 2.5 ms ] story [ 33.3 ms ] threadDeleting the 'class="css-mcm29f"' worked. Don't know if it's okay posting these work-arounds here, let me know.
