Ask HN: What brand of paper calendar do you use?

2 points by gala8y ↗ HN
I used to use Moleskine calendars or other popular mass produced, cheaper calendars for years. Yet, two years ago a friend showed me a local, polish brand Papierniczeni. It turns out that a calendar can open flat (stay flat when opened) and become a really personal thing.

Do you use any nice, less known brands with interesting design and good quality? I am looking for some brands which stand out with unique/colorful design.

Korean and Japanese agendas are a bit smaller than A5, you might prefer the slightly smaller size.

If cash is not an issue, Smythson's.

Yeah, I thought about finding some Japanese calendars. I need to look up some places where to buy in EU - it's kind of difficult to find some interesting places with less popular brands as search results are spammed by producers which sell calendars in bulk for companies.

I would never have a calendar wrapped in leather (re: Smythson).

Miquelrius looks fun. Thanks for your suggestions.

Try the "Million Short" search engine. The first page of Google is usually useless unless searching for the obvious.
I know MS, thanks for suggestion, its really cool and useful. I was just in some kind of 'I don't know how to find it, dont wanna spend too much time on it' state of mind, but finally did some quick research and found sth I wanted.
I went through whole line of Hobonichi calendars (Japenese). Their smaller calendars are really cute, but I settled on a A5 sized one. Great paper, great design. Looking forward to wonderful 2022!
I have used compact Brunnen calendars for many years. The amount of thought put into details of the information printed inside is astonishing. https://www.brunnen.de/kalender
Thanks for your suggestion.
