“But it’s also how quack medical claims and a daily parade of conspiracy theories are made to trend—#Ivermectin“
Fortunately it is not a con, ivermectin truly works. I am in direct contact with many docs who are using it against covid since May 2020. www.ivmmeta.com www.flccc.net
Remdesivir cant show up that level of proof, still being used.
Everyone shall ask questions and dig deeper. Deeper means go read the original studies and research the people behind them. Then research the people who are against it. Interesing pattern going to emerge.
Tells you all you need to know about this website and the tech community, sadly.
The increased importance of tech in our lives combined with remote work and home schooling is not turning out to be the benefit it might have seemed to be.

Okay so the doctors who I personally know and their hundreds of patients some of them I personally know did not get better in 4-6-8 hours because you say so.
You are allowed to do your reasearch, I gave links.
I upvoted you because I don't think your post deserves the downvotes.
But regarding the efficacy of Ivermectin, I think that Yuri Deigin does a really good review of some of the studies and pretty much shows that it probably does not work: https://youtu.be/GwzfnZfo-rU?t=2132
Read the studies, not the reporting on the studies. There are almost 70 studies now. Remdesivir had like 1 or 2?
All except a few show clear benefit for ivermectin.
Of course I can pick and choose parts of the data which shows it is not interesting. Read the OROGINAL. Read many of them! This fast food like referencing to scientific information out there is really damaging.
Here is a question though for all of you who think it does not work based on some articles etc.
Lets say the many docs who wrote those studies are right and every claim it does not work is fake/lie/stupid knowing the original data/studies and having experience with it.
My question is: could you digest that we live in such a society which does that for some weird (lets say unknown or any) reason, or you say, that is impossible in our society. I am asking, because what I see for months now, people are not discussing ivermectin but they discuss the fake discussion about ivermectin. Ivermectin cant work in mind of many, because their favourite storyteller told so and of course the mainstream went against it like a nuke, with similar articles like that.
Do these people know that there were multiple peer revied but later retracted papers which showed another drug, HCQ does not work, but later it turned out the authors/docs were OVERDOSING their patients 2-3x and claimed HCQ does not help but increases (late stage) mortality? I can show you ot is retracted. Why you dont know about that from mainstream media? Same applies to ivermectin.
One has to dig a LITTLE BIT and will find skeletons everywhere. This starts reading the original papers so you wont fall for it when a paper has a conclusion as “more data needed” translated in mainstream “no proof it works”. It happened with HCQ, but you only know that if you read the original.
Blatant lies around generic, cheap drugs, I am really really sad just a few people are willing to know the truth about them in these important times. Interestingly all the people who read these originals are saying the same as me. It is that clear.
We shall not fall for misinformation and propaganda… read the original…
The problem is, people are using ivermectin, which may or may not be able to help a person who has a viral infection (as can many other drugs which are proven to be much more effective) instead of treatments which are much better, and instead of preventing it in the first place with the vaccine, masks, and distancing. That's what makes many of the claims about it "quackery"
Vaccine and treatment can coexist. It is just the mainstream narrative to fear early treatment. Check out Israel data. They pushed supadupa Pfizer right? Still had a huhe wave, bigger then ever. Treatments are necessarey. EARLY treatment too. Its not pushed. Everyone shall ask why. www.c19early.com Real docs, real data.
Most/all of those studies have been proven to be falsified with repeated data and/or poor data. In fact, the company who make Ivermectin have even stated it has little or no effect on Covid. Why would a company that focuses on profits from the product categorically tell you not to use it?
Has this phenomenon ever been simulated before? That is how topics trend in social networks? Is there a simple rule (like the most connected person controls what trends) or a more complex one? It is a vague question, but I would be interested to read something about it.

Tldr: it works.

Cheers.
As a dewormer, yes it does. Not as a COVID treatment, though.
