Ask HN: Any particular desk hacks that make you more productive?
Ive seen everything from rubber ducks, plants, fidget toys etc. i wonder what things you guys have found useful on your workstation to increase productivity or just make work more fun in general.

2. Raising the monitor a couple of inches higher to prevent slouching, if you work seated. Might also work if you're standing, though I haven't tried yet.
3. Placing exercise equipment near my desk. Makes it easier to remember to exercise.
4. Having an indoor garden near my desk. Lots of benefits aside from the nice supply of oxygen
The walk solved the thing I was stuck on maybe like 75% of the time. It's unreal how effective it is.
1. It is easier for people to hear me, which improves communication.
2. I have QC-35s and having a separate sound input source removes the irritating buzzing sound that the QCs give off when on zoom calls.
The desk encourages me to move around which keeps me more alert, and the increased circulation keeps my brain feeling more active.
By propping one foot up on the ball my posture is automatically put into better positioning allowing me to stand comfortably for longer periods; and it allows me to fidget a bit as well.
Staying active and alert like this makes me significantly more productive.
