Ask HN: How are gasoline refinery inputs used after electric vehicles take over?

In the next couple decades as electric vehicles take over, what happens to the petrochemicals that were formerly used to produce gasoline/petrol and diesel?

For example, are they able to be diverted into other products? Do they become waste products? Something else?
