Long cycle washing machines are especially egregious. You basically have to do laundry every other day because you can only do a cycle a day. Water and power are so cheap there is basically no reason to bother with long cycle anywhere these are plentiful

30 minutes is the longest wash time to be considered "fast cycle" for laundry machines though, according to the link
