Yes. I was on the team back then. It was cool bit had to be removed when an architecture change happened and it was too costly to migrate this tool.
The Edge one goes further though as it does z-index stacking context tree, and composited layers too.
Slow and laggy. Visualization looks purely software rendered at 5-20fps. YT clip is 60Hz but even presenters camera is choppy (Im guessing dslr set to 24Hz).
