Ask HN: Did you(r company) receive a spam bomb threat today?

An acquaintance mentioned that their company got a bomb threat today via email.

I haven't seen anything in the news about this being wide-spread, but after a bit of digging on twitter, it looks like this was a large spam campaign to cause trouble for the owner of a certain site.
