>My entire social media feed is full of commentary on queerness right now and it all sucks.

Maybe that's how you've trained the algorithm to feed you topical news, because you wear the topic as identity.

I get women's clothing, sexy and regular, because my wife uses the same computer that I do. It depends on what you search and what websites you visit.
If your browser supports separate users then let user1 be your wife and you be user2 and...

If your wife agrees...clear out your browsing history (cookies et al) set your browser to use only your existing bookmarks to do lookahead search.

The article claims that "trans women in 2021 are among the most at-risk groups in US history". I looked into this and can find no corroboration. GLAAD compiles a list of trans people killed each year and, even if they're only catching half of all cases, then the US trans murder rate is still less than the US murder rate.

In summary, we need to pay this guy more?

I think the OP is referring to articles such as this:

""Murders of Transgender People in 2020 Surpasses Total for Last Year In Just Seven Months"":

https://transequality.org/blog/murders-of-transgender-people...

Transgender people are rare so the number of murdered transgendered is small absolutely but high relatively. Indeed some might say their numbers are negligible but if one is a member of that group such statistics can be alarming.

Evaluating statistics is something that every minority group must deal with in their personal lives and when they turn outward to other groups. The better-educated we all are in statistics the more comfortable we will be knowing that sometimes, for whatever reasons, one or another news outlet, politician or political figurehead will use statistics to bend the truth and scare the bejeezus out of us.

The claim is also very extraordinary given that the US history also includes people who were literally enslaved and dehumanized to the point where murdering them was not an occurrence and, in some cases, even bred like cattle.
