More even handed article than most, but if the author was aware of, or acknowledged, the many ongoing real world official uses of Ivermectin for COVID at scale in many large countries, I missed it. I can understand that if one is only focused on studies that result in papers, one could overlook the mass scale uses. My understanding is that data from such large in situ deployments of a drug trumps the significance of studies which are generally by necessity much more limited.

Yet properly run clinical trials trump anecdote no matter how large the sample size is. What is the relevant mode of action to explain any success? Humans have the channel being inhibited by ivermectin as virii have no channels. Hence one of the problems with overdoses.
