Ask HN: best ways to recreate that college environment

I have a great group of friends from college who were generally willing to discuss anything in an entertaining and in depth manner. Unfortunately they are now scattered across the east coast (mostly).

I was wondering if anyone has found a good way of recreating that, and would be willing to share.

Oh, I'm in the Philly area, if anyone else is interested in following up on the ideas.
