I would call this ".NET of FreeBSD".

Interesting choice of words. Very Microsoft.

I've been very pleased with Microsoft efforts of late: Visual Studio Code is indeed a remarkable tool, and their dotNET infrastructure can support productive environments on many platforms, even if they cannot decide how to actually build apps; the "Windows Everywhere" versus "Applications Everywhere" religious war proceeds apace...
Freebsd runs on .net?

Better title would have ".net support for FreeBSD" somewhere in it for clarity.
