I heard a friend of a friend has a part-time job editing scientific papers for MDPI, although they're not qualified at all. Apparently it's pretty good money. I hadn't heard of them, and started googling. This was the best article I came across.. Pretty fascinating, I thought. It sounds huge and growing fast, and pretty crazy. Hard to say if it's better or worse than Elsevier-type publishers.
