Ask HN: Any experienced C++ developer willing to work on some side-project?
I want to work on any side-project with experienced C++ developer(s). Anyone interested in working on C++ side-project with me? I don't have any specific application in mind. We can discuss what to work on once we meet online.

Understanding some framing of expectations/ideas might help you find the right type of people. I might be interested depending on the situation and expectations.
I would describe myself as middle-weight developer. Not an expert, but can work with C++ without having nightmares.
> Or are you looking to work with someone with more experience to mentor you through a project or what's the goal?
To work on something where we can proudly say that we built it. And along the way make friend(s) for life. If there is mentorship on the sidelines from others then I wouldn't mind being corrected.
> You looking for something more server based, desktop or embedded or ?
Shouldn't matter. C++ developers do pickup any domain quickly and with ease. If one does not know certain part of the domain then s/he, being experienced, should be able to quickly ramp-up.

I don't have any specific idea(and expectation, apart from working on something tangible and making friend(s)), so open to discussing and bouncing ideas across.

Then let us connect and find out. As mentioned earlier, the only aim is to produce something tangible and make friend(s). There is no other expectation.
