If Meta is going this heavily into the ‘metaverse’, then I can’t help but think that FB and Apple are really close with these AR spectacles. He’s preemptively building stores to take on Apple imho.
Exactly. Like I have said before, [0] there is a lot of reasons why Meta would want to waste no time in building another hardware platform like smart glasses with AR capabilities with the metaverse supporting it and executing it better than anyone else before them (Alphabet, Snap, North) and especially better than Apple.
This is Meta's answer to the iOS and Android ecosystem and they are aiming to get the games on their first.
