I am constantly amazed by the weird and wonderful things I see on Atlas Obscura. Thank you!
What a great read. I love seeing these little weird slices of Americana being preserved for future generations.
This is super cool. Yeah, fossil oil tech belongs in a museum, not the cornerstone of our civilization.
I actually just drove by that last week - there's a fun plaque out front but as of today it's very junky up there (seems adjacent property owner is allowing their yard to become junkyardish).

It was a cool little slice of history to see!
