[ 3.1 ms ] story [ 18.2 ms ] thread
I tried finding another news story not behind a paywall about this after seeing it live, and the only other one is The Independent which claims the Defense's claim about Apple distorting (or using AI to sharpen) zoomed videos as bizarre. So much for being independent. I totally understand their reasoning, however it would have made much more sense if the prosecution could have assured that whatever they were going to show as clear as day. I'm inclined to believe, based on the Presecutor's conduct, that they will zoom in and try to state something is there that is very difficult to see.
From the Verge's article (https://www.theverge.com/2021/11/10/22775580/kyle-rittenhous...):

“iPads, which are made by Apple, have artificial intelligence in them that allow things to be viewed through three-dimensions and logarithms,” the defense insisted. “It uses artificial intelligence, or their logarithms, to create what they believe is happening. So this isn’t actually enhanced video, this is Apple’s iPad programming creating what it thinks is there, not what necessarily is there,” they added.
