This once again proves that while users of Apple devices believe that they own them, Apple considers that the devices are merely rented from Apple. Thus, renters can use devices only in a way approved by the owner (Apple), and are subject to restrictions and oversight.

Speaking of opt-in features, you can't disable shutterstock sound on iPhones sold in Japan.

It's like a Pandora's box. Once some capability appears, it's only a matter of time before someone somewhere will force its use against people's wishes.
