I'm posting this because it seems like an egregious case of politically motivated misconduct; I'm very curious to know how the FBI is justifying this operation, and the subsequent leaking of private, stolen notes to the NYT.
Also, for context, the diary contains passages where Ashley Biden describes showering with Joe Biden as a pubescent teenager, and questioning whether she was molested. As it stands it looks like this is a retaliatory raid.
I understand that Veritas is suing the NYT, and that leaking the communications between them and their lawyers to the other party in that suit might be kindof a big deal too.

He is hated precisely because he turns the rules of the Left back on themselves.
And a fair fight just cannot be allowed, hence the effort to punish and destroy.
