Some context: fraudulent call problem in Canada is bad. It is industrial scale fraud usually run from outside of Canada, when callers pose as Canadian border agency or tax agency officials claiming you have an “arrest warrant” for unpaid taxes or duties, trying to get you do a direct transfer to a numbered account. Almost 100% of my calls are fraud. If I do not see or recognize caller ID I do not even pick up the phone anymore.
