I have strategically picked my card and all I need is a major DNS provider and reddit to go down. Hopefully I get a real prize and not just my data being leaked.

I got a bingo after checking 5 seeds: https://outage.bingo/?month=1&seed=47392

That saved me from clicking another few hundred times, thanks.

Cute, but

Comcast was 5 days ago

GCP was 4 days ago

Facebook was 13 days ago

Robinhood was 7 days ago (and seriously strains "a major cryptocurrency service." it's a retail stock trading platform that happens to trade crypto.)

The card is for all of November '21
Yup! Cards are monthly (and created manually so we can adjusted based on previous months of outages/breaches)
GCP was today actually.
There was a GCP outage a few days ago, which is what Outage Bingo has linked. It sadly doesn't currently support multi-links per-card.
It used to have outages all the time. It still does but it used to too
Robinhood was one that we (me + friends) were a bit on the fence about, since it does -- as you say -- get really close to the edge, but it seemed close-enough.
Robinhood probably still earns more than half of its transaction based revenue from crypto, with the rest being options and stocks. I think it actually does qualify as a major cryptocurrency service.

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/08/18/robinhood-crypto-revenue-jum...

That 50% of Robinhoods revenue comes from crypto does not make Robinhood a major service in the cryptocurrency space. Could be that they have way higher margins on cryptocurrency, that cryptocurrency fans spend more or anything else. But compared to other exchanges or trading platforms in cryptocurrency, Robinhood is basically non-existing.
WHERE THE FUCK IS @PATIO11 ON THIS MATTER!!!??

I love this!

WEhat would be really awesome would be:

ANTI-PATTERN-OUTAGE-BINGO-DDOS-VOTE :

"Who should the botnet go after?"

And have users bot-vote the target of whatever version of LOIC they can muster...

(And a BLUE version - which is users dedicated to protecting such site)

Im smelling a click-game here... Anyone? A N Y O N E ?> ? ?

This is going to be Internet Gold right here.
Just needs some integration with InTrade....
Centralisation hell on a bingo card.
I would love to be able to set this up by submitting some group of statuspages as a data source.
If you build it, don't forget to make a ShowHN post!
That'd be a cool longer-term goal :D Right now it's all manual to allow for changing the cards month-to-month.
Have we seriously not already had a major VPN leak? We must have had one by now, right?

I vaguely feel like more of these cards should already be blue? But maybe I'm just quibbling over what "major" means or how long in the past we should go to look.

Regardless, fun project, I like the idea a lot. I'll also add my vote alongside other commentors that I'd love to be able to use names as seeds.

Edit: hah, looks like a pull request is already merged (https://github.com/queer/outage.bingo/pull/9/files).

Some of these TLDs are insane. This is about as obscure as ".horse"
Reminds me: Dyn is now under Oracle.
I read this as Outrage Bingo. Now I want that. If you build it, we will come. You could auto-generate squares with the Twitter API. Twitter, the Outrage Propagation As A Service platform. Mark the square if its term appears in a headline on the HN front page.

The number of bingos will be inversely correlated with the quality of the HN feed. It could be used for QA.

Same. The Bingo tld is clearly under utilized in playful and or sarcastic applications. Now there's a place I to put my corporate townhall bingo cards..
Ooh that sounds like a fun idea :D Maybe soon.
Twitter: Platform (for) Outrage Optimisation (and) Propagation or "POOP"
I love bingo cards as commentary. I became 'well known' in the nuclear industry for passing out 'Nuclear Renaissance Bingo' cards at a national meeting during a keynote whilst pretending it was official.

Since then I've recently revived my bingo card generator. It defaults to nuclear things but you can actually write your own options and then share the URL with your custom options encoded into the URL. Fun for zoom meetings for sure.

That's very cool, thanks for sharing your story :)

If you find a way to monetize it, you can become the next patio11, eventually get hired by Stripe (or whatever is the cool finance startup in about 10 years) and start ranting about how the new financial ecosystem being built at the time is nothing like $NextStripe.

Shouldn't the FBI's email vulnerability over the last weekend count for "A government entity"?
Yes it should! Thanks for the catch :D

Edit: This has been added!

> A major code hosting service (Github, PyPI, NPM, etc.)

Looks like there's two free spaces on these sheets

No Netflix? Not sure if I should be proud or insulted. :)
Its right there in the middle - labeled Free Space
