Ask HN: Does iOS 15 make display look larger?

I think I may be going crazy, but I installed iOS 15 and I keep swearing that my screen is bigger than it once was. That's... obviously not the case, but I can't help but think that something in the UI changes in iOS 15 have made it give the impression that there is more screen real estate on a phone screen. Am I going nuts, or have others sensed the same thing? And if so, anyone can point to specific design elements that might be causing this?
