Seems like a good idea but it's tied to all the other nonsense happening on ethereum. Namebase seems better in my opinion because it is focused on DNS and nothing else. [1] Going forward I think that's how blockchains should be designed. Each one should be custom made for a domain instead of being universally programmable like ethereum.

Oh neat, is there a name for that idea of "Tons if custom blockchains" vs "a few centralized ones like BTC and ETH"?

Today it seems like 90% of the marketcap of these things is in BTC or in ETH/tokens. But marketcap =! Value necessarily, so perhaps the future is a ton of interoperable blockchains.

I'm not sure if there is a name for it but it seems like a useful avenue of research. There is something called polkadot but I haven't looked closely into how exactly it works other than it being an interoperability layer for other blockchains. [1]
