The new website and branding looks great. Congratulations!
I like this notion of not chasing after huge growth, cutting costs, and still being profitable. This path leads to variety, which is crucial to a healthy internet ecosystem.
Love Gumroad. Was scared that this would be a "pivot" post to "something new".

Instead it's a celebration of what made them great. A promise to keep their workforce happy. An idea of going agaisnt "growth at all costs".

I thought they contracted out their entire staff? Seems that “keeping their workforce happy” goes against contracting. If you do a contract and you like the client, you might pick up another one. Otherwise no hard feelings, get the current contract done and go work for someone else.

That post doesn’t quite seem to imply that people just contract in and out like freelancers, but more that they are hired at a per hour rate on a permanent basis.

Seems like an interesting idea tbh.
