They’ll still be on YouTube and if we’re talking potential for harm then YT and it’s algorithm are surely up there with the likes of Snapchat.

That said I still hope this isn’t just a marketing stunt:

I would love to see more companies investing in creating their own social communities/sites/whatever.

Speak to anyone who has ever worked at lush and you will realise they are a mad irresponsible cult who refuse to call the police when their staff are sexually assaulted because of “karma”. No company has ever been more in need of an undercover expose
While some see this as a marketing stunt, I think it's a successful founder that now dramatically over-estimates his personal importance:

Trust me, they're not using social media because of your brand and less ads definitely won't drive them away. I bet he's gone within a year.
