I'm a US citizen, and I live in Colorado, right in the middle of North America.
I'm baffled by what's going on in the UK right now, which appears to be regressing towards a less-democratic, more traditionally monarchy. Two questions:
1. Is my impression correct? If not, what can I read/watch to get a more correct impression?
2. Why? What would motivate an entire country to return to a monarchy, with a class system and hereditary aristocracy?
