Ask HN: Is it wise to leave out your phone number on your namecard?

I know this is kind of against the notion and idea behind the namecard, but is leaving out your mobile phone number on your namecard a wise idea?

I used to have weird people calling me in the middle of the night or have my phone added into some telemarketer's database on my previous phone number which was listed on my namecard.

Is there anyone out there who doesn't put their mobile phone on their namecard and is there any pros and cons to that?

What's a namecard? Is it another name for a business card?

Yup.

So long as it's got your e-mail address and links to relevant home/profile pages, you should be fine. The point of a business card is to enable people you've met once to contact you. There's no reason that has to be by phone.
