Ask HN: Remotely working for an american company

Hey guys, I'm sure some of you have encountered this scenario: software developer working as an employee (not contract) for an american startup.

I'm assuming there's quite a huge body of tax and legalese that I might have to negotiate?

I'm totally illiterate when it comes to this stuff, so… any help is appreciated :)

PS. I'm canadian.
