As usual, police and prosecutors and anti-piracy groups will emphasize how the defendant's tool enabled piracy:

"arrested in connection with creating and maintaining a Kodi add-on configured to supply illegal online streams"

"created and built a software package that enabled illegal access to BT Sport, Sky, Netflix and other subscription television content"

"creator of software package ‘stephen-builds’ which facilitated access to subscription television and film content without payment to the rights’ holders"

But when you dig into it, you'll find that he actually went a step further and promoted the fact that his tool could evade copyright:

"created multiple YouTube videos which ... demonstrated the ability of his ‘build’ to enable the viewing of subscription television and film content"

I can't help but think that this is a deliberate tactic to scare away anyone who's thinking about writing legitimate addons that happen to aid piracy in some way.

Prison is nothing. Just read a few books and do a bit of studying and treat it as a holiday. Unless he has kids abs a wife then he’s fucked
