Why does that irk Hacker News such that my post is flagged?

I submit things and they don’t get upvoted as much as I would like, doesn’t mean it is a conspiracy.

Stuff gets flagged because it's off topic or "uninteresting". I've had it happen to me too, and its upsetting, but it's not some conspiracy against specific things, it's more benevolent dictatorship to keep the site the way it is (above the fray to some extent)
