Synapticure (YC S20) Is Hiring an Engineering Manager for ALS Telehealth

We are searching for an engineering manager to build the team here at Synapticure. If neurodegenerative diseases like ALS are something you would be passionate to work on, we'd love to chat.

Our current product is a telemedicine care platform for ALS patients that ensures every patient gets the care they need along with full molecular testing (e.g., genetics). Once validated in ALS, we will expand to other neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., FTD, Parkinson's, Huntington's). This care platform provides a missing and critical dataset that will improve (1) how neurodegenerative diseases are diagnosed and treated and (2) the R&D critical to finding disease altering therapeutics for the category in years, not decades. Because we have unique access within this disease category, we are already one of the largest care providers in ALS, are fully funded, with public announcements pending in Q1.

Your responsibility as our first full-time in-house developer would be to expand all of our product lines, including a custom-built Patient Application, an off-the-shelf EHR/Care Management platform and a proprietary clinical trials matching product. You would also help hire a team of about 3-5 engineers by the end of 2022.

Although small, the team of employees (11 full time employees at present) and advisors that you will work with on a day-to-day basis are great. They are all very smart, highly credentialed in the healthcare world, compassionate, and driven to help make patients lives better.
