Net-zero pledges seem analogous to Exonn starting "climate focused" think tanks and creating marketing material about "investing in algae based biofuels". It's purely marketing, kicking the can down the road.

However, applying the blanket statement of "<insert initiative here> [are] not good enough" is also a lazy approach to actually finding a solution.
