Feels a bit disingenuous to write an article like this and only mention Epstein in passing. The way the legal system kept letting him and keeping secret the details of the allegations against him, for years, rightfully raises eyebrows. Not to mention the almost unbelievable circumstances of his death.

Super easy to point at a few crazies and cry fake when you omit the "conspiracy theories" that have substance.

It’s also pretty rich that 1) this comes out during the Ghislaine Maxwell trial, and 2) the article doesn’t even mention her name.
Because the trial is ongoing, and mention of her in the media could have legal repercussions (opinions and biases could become skewed, etc.)
What are you talking about? The media consistently write articles about ongoing trials. Think about some of the major trials recently, and you will find many, many articles about them before they are done.

I mean look at the Elizabeth Holmes trial. There have been multiple articles from Ars Technica before the trial was even over.

Yeah, that’s why no one talked about Rittenhouse during his trial.

Epstein doesn't fit the MO that OUR et al are selling. The girls exploited by Epstein were not abducted (and I don't believe any were reported missing).
One nuance this article doesn't do a good job of explaining: the majority of sex trafficking cases that are encountered are situations where an underage teenager seeks out sex work (the median age cited in the article is 17).

Obviously there is a lot of nuance here - some were groomed, some volunteered, lots were in bad family situations and got exploited.

But even in terrible situations like this, it is not a stranger being grabbed of the street.

I think we need different terms... For example:

* Kidnapping and sex slavery:. Where someone is forced to do sex work and cannot quit.

* Providing adult services while underage. A child has an onlyfans account posting nudes because they get more pocket money doing that than delivering newspapers.

Both are illegal, but morally they are in very different categories, so we shouldn't use the same words to describe them.

What about sexual abuse that happens within our own communities? I was chemically balded at Billings West High School after coming forward about my childhood sexual abuse in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

At least one of the men who chemically balded me is a policeman now, the principal who oversaw it got a cushy job with the catholic diocese that abused hundreds (thousands?) of kids, his daughter got a sinecure with the same church.

There are predators who are principals and pastors who are allowed to prey on our children with impunity, and if they speak up they are maimed for life. When are we going to start taking this seriously?

That's heinous! You should talk to a lawyer and sue the crap out of them. It may not be too late to get some measure of justice.
Thats the natural reaction to decaying law and lawlessness. Thats how human societys have upheld basic contract-stability for ages. Thats why every societal collapse regarding law functionality results in a moral outrage about sexual depravity and moral decay.

Its a hardcoded mechanism. Female selects in males for reliable, reproduceable emotions against the sexual deviants in all shapes.

The group is at the same time ostracized and integrated in some shape or form as religion. (Rainbow-religion atm).

This builds a very fragile basic three power pillar which allows upholding basic contract law.

Not integrated deviants or hostile elements (pedophiles) are then persecuted, to re-establish lawfulness within society. Its all happening on a instinct level. The actual deeds or the victims are strangely irrelevant.

Important is the re-establishing of the "third" pillar to stabilize society. As long as there is a "pope" like figure, able to make the powerful crawl around its castle, the crimes against the weak (children) are strangely irrelevant to this circus.

The progressives will yell against this, but in the end, all that change is the decoration and the mythology, the base functionality of this, remains the same.

Sorry to post this, for to know it and to see it, is misery. And yes, this is why you get told those little stories and outrage-bits and your emotional reaction is so important.

Its just a subconscious behavioural service server check. To have the powerful act against their own interests and establish law, a hack and a hook is necessary.

Nothing personal in all things personal.
