Ask HN: How are you preparing for a changing economic tide?

It seems, based on submissions & comments I've read here over the past several months, that many of you are anticipating a major economic downturn in the near future. What steps are you all taking to prepare for such an event? How can one hedge against the risk of a stock market crash, housing crash, and inflation all at the same time?

Not doing anything different. Continuing to not live beyond my means.

People have been predicting doom and gloom for many, many years. Folks that are truly convinced that’s the case should buy puts on the SP500.

I have noticed that my friends who invest don't try and guess the market. I like the simple message of make all you can, save all you can, give all you can.
