I know someone that was suffering from alpha-gal for two years. Desperate for any hope, he found a doctor in North Carolina that developed a novel form of acupuncture involving the inner ear. So, he flew out for treatment. He had to leave these tiny pins in his ears for four weeks. It sounded like total garbage, but it surprisingly seems to have worked. I've seen this guy both before and after, and he's eating dairy and meat again. I can't imagine what biological mechanism was involved (maybe placebo?). But, then again the human body is incredibly complex.
