Woop (named after four steps: setting wish, envisioning outcome, envisioning obstacle, planning your way around the obstacle) is a simple technique to motivate yourself on moving forward towards some personal or work goal. This technique uses two scientifically backed methods[1]: mental contrasting (i.e. imagining particular obstacle you may face when working on your goal) and implementation intention (planning upfront what strategy you will use when facing that obstacle).

Linked website provides a very simple and free app to write down your goal and set obstacle-overcoming strategy for it using these two methods. In my experience it works really well.
