Do I need to get insurance for my small business?

Do I need to get insurance for my small business? Or is it only necessary for large enterprises? I would like to get insurance, but I do not know where it is better to do it. Share your experience, please!

It’s an extremely good idea to have liability insurance, and most states have statutory requirements for workmans’ compensation and other coverage.

Depending on what the business is, some companies will refuse to do business without it.

For example, IBM only hires contractors with a specific amount of liability insurance. And it makes sense - you're working with them on their property, but since you're not an employee, you aren't covered under their liability insurance.
