Nature vs nurture would be easily tested.
I'm not sure I understand your response. Could you please explain what you mean in the context of the posted question?
We could take newborn children and give them to apes to raise or leave a bunch of children on an island to see what happens.
Nature vs nurture is really a non issue at this point. Basically everyone (that I have run into, short of a small percentage of undergrads) knows that its both nature and nurture.

I'm also not sure what you would get out of a study just throwing some kids on an island with apes? That's super uncontrolled. Plus is this morals or research ethics we're discussing and what is the difference?

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to ask.

Are you asking what the implications are for ignoring morals and focusing on mechanics?

If so, the first thing I would state is that all morals are purely a social construct. There is no such thing as "objective morals" because they differ between societies and cultures.
