Whatever tortuous road Grishka and Igor took in the past 40 years, they didn't leave people indifferent.
I for one want to thank them for their 80s TV show 'Temps X'. That programme, with a mix of science and science-fiction had the exact ingredients to captivate young kids and teens. I wouldn't miss any of the weekly episodes.
It was exciting and thought provoking. Science, technology, imagination. A powerful cocktail that certainly hooked me, and countless others, and probably helped inspire a generation of engineers and scientists.
They were controversial, flawed and quirky -excentric at least- but if you were a nerdy kid in the late seventies and eighties, Igor and Grishka were an inspiration.
