What's amusing is she talks about Enoughism or choosing to be financially poor (through choice or happenstance) but I wonder if she realizes how pleasant she is to watch/listen to and that her lifestyle is super interesting and unique. I feel she could have a great youtube channel and a successful revenue stream. The flipside I guess is she wouldn't need to live in a shed after that...
Enoughism. The world needs more of that. So many want to point to killing the oil fields or driving electric cars or solar panels as the antidote to global warming. But if billions of us would quit buying so many heavily packaged short lifespan products and be satisfied with enoughism, there would be a far greater impact than all those other 'cures' combined. But it's not a message that sells well. Literally.
Beats big debt all to hell, as well as the sort of grind-immersion that more and more are realizing is unhealthy and unsustainable.
Surprising to find that the old guru of 'enoughism' Lloyd Kahn ('Shelter' editor of Whole Earth Catalog) is online and still kicking. Anyone interested in alternative shelter will find inspiration in his books. [https://www.lloydkahn.com/]
