This is quite nice, since I remember I've never liked mono-color walls, when I was a kid I used to paint on my walls tags and drawings with spray cans, but now since I grew up and it was a mess and it was repainted, I've started to put pictures of cities I've visited, maps of the cities, pubs cups holders from the world and random pictures of paintings and some flyers of clubbing nights, and banknotes of random countries, so around me I like to have colorful walls full of memories, so this speaks deep to me
To elaborate on what I mean... If the pictures are not uniform size you can't simply divide the wall dimension by the number of pictures. You'll want instead to calculate equal spacing between the pictures, or perhaps have the software configurable for proportional spacing/margins.
In the first place this is in a experimental state. Currently theres only on layout type implemented. Exactly like you said its the "divide by pictures" layout.
The layout to evenly space them even if there are different widths, I will implement in the future.

I think I'd use FreeCAD to try out different ways of doing equal spacing or equal center distance or what not and see what looked right.
When creating something individual, free CAD software like LibreCAD is a better way to go.
