Nice to know it works down to -21F. Is there a better lube for keeping lock tumblers free of water and lubricated down to -40F? Teflon based?
Not sure about the composition, but I use 3-IN-ONE Dry Lock Lube for my locks in a temperate climate.
I was always told not to use it as a lube ,oil replacement, but as a water repellent or oil build up cleaner. It's good at getting rid of gunk.
I once caught the second place fish at a fishing derby using just a hook sprayed with WD-40. I guess I have the insect pheromones to thank for that.
Don't know. I recently saw a YT video that offered a recipe that supposedly works at least as well (as a solvent for freeing up stuck parts). The recipe: a 50-50 mix of acetone and non-synthetic automatic transmission fluid. (Keep it away from plastic, rubber, paint.) Use from an oiler can (no more than you think you'll need) is recommended (more control over where it winds up).
