Imagine genetic modification being advertised to expectant mothers. It could work on a subscription basis. The parent makes a one-time payment before birth for the modification. Then after the child's 18th birthday the corporation gets a percentage of their income each year for life. If they don't pay then the corporation gets to reclaim their property.
