Why not? We kinda already did it for the flu every year. And if it is the only alternative to lockdowns [1], I think most of us would prefer that.

Side-note: The article quotes Fauci as saying "I think it's too premature to be talking about a fourth dose...". That seems like one of his "noble equivocations" to me. If Israelis do need a fourth dose, it is probably true that so do Americans.

[1]: And we don't discover any long-term side-effects for the vaccines, which seems unlikely.

Not sure if you jest, but a minority gets regular flu injections. As is states it doesn't seem sustainable.

Lockdowns can provide a benefit, but I am sure people want everything to open up again. Doing so makes a stronger case by the day.

Because this is not a fatal illness for everybody, it should target the most vulnerable group of people willing to vaccinate/use boosters. The very same thing happening already for the flu shot every year.

"Pollard also stressed the "need to target the vulnerable" going forward, rather than administering doses to everyone age 12 and older. More data is needed to ascertain "whether, when and how often those who are vulnerable will need additional doses," he said."
