Forgive me, I know there are already several submissions on this (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29582686) but I find this behavior so heinous, and I think it's worth posting again for any that may have missed it.

Verizon app > Account Settings > Manage Privacy Settings > Select a line > Custom Experience

I think you misspelled “cancel your service immediately”

Reverting opt-out of privacy settings is illegal under California consumer privacy laws. I’ve reported them to the state’s Attorney General. Feel free to do the same.
