One of the concerns, at least in certain circles, about phones without easily removed batteries is, "How do you know if they're actually off?"
This PoC demonstrates how you can hook various iOS processes and convincingly simulate turning an iPhone off, while the phone is still powered on, connected to the network, and able to stream audio/video out. It includes a believable boot icon and animation when "powered back on" as well.
