Epic or Roblox may join that list. While FB/Meta is trying to approach the Metaverse from a social angle, I think the problem space is much better solved as a Video Game. Second Life is well established but I haven’t seen much in the way of innovation in the last decade.

I really like what the Hololens2 portends for the metaverse. The experience is a "magic leap" forward.
