This was written in 2013. Today, the biggest companies - especially in tech - have D&I quotas that often make it significantly easier for URMs to get a job compared to others.

This is from 2012. Even then, I don't remember Monster.com being very good. The most likely explanation is fraudsters or sketchy employers found a fresh account and reached out because fresh accounts have higher callback rates than stale accounts.
She didn't say her name, but it's also possible she experienced discrimination because of that, not her disclosed race.
